Dar Nour
Dar Nour was the first guest house to open in Tangier. Opened in 1999, Dar Nour is a genuinely beautiful, old Kasbah house, built on different levels, filled with nooks and crannies, and restored with a true feeling for beauty and simplicity.
Dar Nour means « the house of light », and the aim was to accent the sunlight playing on the whitewashed walls. The travel guide Géo , and French magazines such as Le Point, Capital, L?art de voyager, and Jalouse all agree that it is the top place to stay in Tangier. Other international magazines such as Elle, Travel Leisure, Gente Viaje, Le goût de Tanger, and Numéro have all written articles about Dar Nour.
Artists, intellectuals, writers, and film makers have stayed there and found it to be a real inspiring relaxing place.
